Panels 2-3: Homosexual practices are criminalized in Article 534 of the 1943 Lebanese Penal Code. A conviction of engaging in homosexual acts carries a punishment of imprisonment of up to one year. The expression of a non-conforming gender identity can be prosecuted under several other articles that regulate public morality.
